چکیده
Abstract Due to seawater intrusion into the Indus delta, Pakistan under changing climate scenarios, local communities of delta are threat land and livelihood. The present study was initiated analyze community perceptions about social ecological change vulnerability in Pakistan. About 500 permanent residents were interviewed using a well-structured questionnaire. IBM SPSS software used data based on Pearson chi-square, Goodman, Kruskal's analyses, Foster Greer Thorbeck (FGT) techniques. Analysis revealed that people had poor infrastructure living standards, limited activities. Most illiterate, average family size 11. On average, 4.7 members lived single room, most houses made wood. Based FGT techniques, 88.4% population below poverty line. statistical analysis identified as significant parameters affecting soil fertility, water quality, vegetation, mangroves, A large portion respondents strongly demanded ensured freshwater flow save ecosystem, resources, livelihood communities.

Climate change vulnerability assessment in Georgia
Climate change is occurring in the Southeastern United States, and one manifestation is changes in frequency and intensity of extreme events. A vulnerability assessment is performed in the state of Georgia (United States) at the county level from 1975 to 2012 in decadal increments. Climate change vulnerability is typically measured as a function of exposure to physical phenomena (e.g., droughts...

This paper explored a new approach regarding social vulnerability to climate change, and measured social vulnerability in three parts: (1) choosing relevant indicators of social vulnerability to climate change; (2) based on the Hazard Vulnerability Similarity Index (HVSI), our method provided a procedure to choose the referenced community objectively; and (3) ranked social vulnerability, exposu...

There is an increasing need to evaluate the links between the social and ecological dimensions of human vulnerability to climate change. We use an empirical case study of 12 coastal communities and associated coral reefs in Kenya to assess and compare five key ecological and social components of the vulnerability of coastal social-ecological systems to temperature induced coral mortality [speci...
متن کاملEcological Risk Assessment in the Context of Global Climate Change
Changes to sources, stressors, habitats, and geographic ranges; toxicological effects; end points; and uncertainty estimation require significant changes in the implementation of ecological risk assessment (ERA). Because of the lack of analog systems and circumstances in historically studied sites, there is a likelihood of type III error. As a first step, the authors propose a decision key to a...
